Beans with garlic and herb butter

Serves: 4


  • 250g green beans, trimmed
  • 250g butter beans, trimmed
  • 40g butter
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 Tblsp roughly chopped tarragon
  • 1 Tblsp chopped parsley


  1. Cook beans in a large pan of salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes until beans are just tender. Drain and return to pan.
  2. Meanwhile melt the butter in a small pan, add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Pour butter over beans. Add the herbs and toss well to combine
