Winner of the inaugural personal trainer of the year award
With over 33,000 registered personal trainers in Australia, what does it take be chosen as the best?
For Gold Coast based personal trainer and mother of triplets Sally Brouwer, an unwavering work ethic and determination to stay grounded has delivered her the title of Ultra FITNESS Magazine’s Personal Trainer of the Year and the winner of the richest prize for personal trainers in the world.
The announcement, which occurred at this year’s Australian Fitness and Health Expo, marks the culmination of a year long competition run in conjunction with FIAFitnation to identify the best personal trainers in the country and to recognise their contribution to the community.
After an exhaustive judging process which saw the evaluation of over 200 applications from fitness professionals throughout Australia, Sally Brouwer was deemed the undisputed winner due to the incredible results she has delivered for clients over her 20 year career and for her ongoing contribution to the community through her extensive work with the Blue Sky Foundation and with the Queensland Police Force.
In addition to winning a total prize pool of $50,000, Sally will join the Ultra FITNESS team as an ongoing contributor and will appear in an upcoming special feature in the magazine.
This competition was made possible thanks to the generous support of the competition sponsors, FIAFitnation, BodyScience, Hart Sport, Steggles, Polar and Anytime Fitness, and will return bigger and better next year!
