Sydney Roosters and Steggles dedicate Sunday's match to the Charity Nest
This Sunday's clash between the Roosters and the Tigers is not only to farewell star player Braith Anasta, the match is dedicated to raising much needed funds for the four childrenâ€™s charities the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest supports.
The highly anticipated charity match is one of a number of events taking place during Steggles Charity Nest Week. The annual event raises awareness for the charities the fund supports including Children's Cancer Institute Australia, Lifestart, Children's Health Foundation Queensland and Save Our Sons.
The Steggles Roosters Charity Nest initiative has already raised $114,000 this season.
The Roosters v. Tigers match this Sunday at Allianz Stadium will see:
- Steggles and the Roosters present a $15,000 to each of the four charities. A total of $60,000.The Sydney Roosters Â Â play in a special Steggles Charity Nest jersey
- The half time Steggles Chook Raffle gives one lucky family the chance to win a holiday valued at $4,000 (5,000 free entry tickets available at the gates)
- The children from the charities form a guard of honour for the players as they enter the field
- Lots of activities, prizes and family fun at the game (face painting, jumping castle, pass the ball competitions)

For fans who want to support the Charity Nest during August, Steggles is also donating 30 cents from every specially marked Steggles Family Feast chicken sold during the month. This initiative alone is expected to raise $90,000 for the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest.

Everyone at Save Our Sons is thrilled that our charity has been part of this year's Charity Nest and we cannot thank Steggles and the Sydney Roosters enough for choosing us to be a part of it. All the money raised for Save Our Sons will go directly to funding a future clinical trial to find a treatment, and helping the families living with DMD."
The Steggles Roosters Charity Nest was launched in February 2010 and has raised over $531,000 for Australian children's charities.
The unique partnership between Steggles and the Sydney Roosters sees Steggles donate $1000 and the Roosters $250 for every winning point to the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest.
