Information on how to enter forms part of these conditions of entry.
Entry is open to all Australian residents who attend the Metcash Supermarkets & Convenience Expo at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre from 17-19 July 2016. If an entrant is under the age of 18 years they must first obtain their parent or guardian’s permission prior to entering the competition, and if a winner, the prize will be awarded to the parent or guardian on the winner’s behalf. The Promoter, other entities and agencies associated with this competition, their related bodies corporate and each of their officers, agents, employees and immediate family of any of them are ineligible to enter. All other persons who satisfy the requirements of this paragraph are eligible to enter (“Eligible Entrants”).
The promotion commences at 6.00am (Sydney time) on 17 July 2016 and closes at 5.00pm (Sydney time) on 19 July 2016 (“Promotion Period”).
To enter, Eligible Entrants, must during the Promotion Period:
visit the Steggles Stand;
enter their personal details including name, phone number & email address into the iPad supplied by promotional staff (located at the Stand); and
in 25 words or less, provide an answer to the question “What does quality time mean to you?"
Only one entry is permitted per Eligible Entrant.
This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Any entry that contains content that the Promoter, in its sole discretion, considers to be offensive or inappropriate in any way or that the Promoter considers, in its sole discretion, to infringe any intellectual property rights or other rights of any person, corporation or entity, will be considered ineligible. The decision to accept or reject an entry is at the Promoter’s sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into. The intellectual property rights in an entry are assigned to the Promoter for no charge and all entries remain the property of the Promoter to be used in any publicity or other circumstances the Promoter considers appropriate. You consent to the use of your entry by the Promoter in any manner which the Promoter chooses to do so, irrespective of any moral rights or other claims.
Entries must be the entrant’s original work and must not breach the intellectual property rights or moral rights of any third person. If the entrant has breached the intellectual property rights or moral rights of a third person, the entry will be deemed invalid.
No responsibility will be taken by the Promoter for any ineligible or lost entries or entries submitted or received by the Promoter after the closing time and date. Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions, are incomplete, or submitted or received by the Promoter after the closing time and date will be declared void.
A panel of judges appointed by the Promoter will conduct the judging from all eligible entries at Baiada Poultry Pty Limited, 642 Great Western Highway, Pendle Hill NSW 2145 at 4.00pm (Sydney time) on 21 July 2016.
All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on the best and most creative response to the 25 words or less question. There will be 1 prize awarded in this competition. The entry judged as the most creative, in the opinion of the judges, will be declared the prize winner.
The prize is a holiday for a family of 4 which includes:
a gift voucher from Flight Centre valued at $3,000 (excl GST).
The total maximum value of the prize is $3,000 (excl GST).
The winner will be contacted by phone and email, using the contact details included with the winner’s entry within 2 business days of the judging and announced on www.steggles.com.au from 22 July 2016 for a period of 28 days.
The prize must be taken by 21 July 2017. The prize is not valid during school holidays. The prize winner is responsible for all other expenses including spending money, meals, drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry charges, activities (unless specified), hotel car parking, other hotel incidentals, ground transportation, taxes that are not included in the price of the ticket, related insurance, gratuities, service charges, travel insurance (unless specified), optional activities or excursions, merchandise or any other costs of a related, ancillary or incidental nature and all other ancillary costs. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other travel and prize related expenses become the responsibility of the winner. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel for all incidental charges.
If the prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.
If for any reason (including but not limited to, illness, misadventure, unavailability or adverse weather conditions) a winner cancels or does not take any part or all of a prize, and on the conditions stipulated by the Promoter (and those of any prize supplier), then the relevant part or all of the prize will be forfeited and cash will not be awarded in lieu thereof.
The Promoter reserves the right to conduct a rejudging in the event that a prize remains unclaimed. Any rejudging will take place at the same time and place as the original judging on 21 October 2016. The winner, if any, will be contacted by phone and email, using the contact details included with the winner’s entry within 2 business days of the rejudging and announced on www.steggles.com.au from 25 October 2016 for a period of 28 days.
To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter, other entities associated with this competition and their related bodies corporate, and each of their officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for and shall be held harmless in respect of any loss, damage, illness, death or injury whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to economic, direct or consequential loss) or sustained, as a result of or arising from a winner’s acceptance and use of the prize, except to the extent that any such liability cannot be excluded by law.
Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. Acceptance of a prize is deemed to constitute consent by a winner for the Promoter to use the winner’s name, image and photograph in its sole discretion for publicity purposes and in any other circumstances the Promoter considers appropriate, unless specifically requested by the winner not to do so at the time of accepting the prize.
If the competition does not run for its duration due to, but not limited to, computer viruses, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the Promoter’s control that corrupts or affects administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. The Promoter will not be responsible for: malfunction, delay or traffic congestion on any telephone network or line, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or website; failure of any entry to be received by the Promoter as a result of those matters; nor any injury or damage to entrants or any other person related to or resulting from participation in the competition or downloading any materials relating to the competition.
