Steggles Roosters Charity Nest

The Steggles Charity Nest has been operating since 2002 and is more than a fund raising initiative. It’s a big part of our business and an opportunity for everyone at Steggles to show their support to the wider community.

In 2010 as part of the unique sponsorship agreement between Steggles and the Sydney Roosters the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest initiative was born.  For every wining point the Roosters win by, Steggles donates $1000 and the Roosters donate $250 to the Steggles Sydney Roosters Charity Nest The Charity Nest supports the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia (CCIA), Lifestart, and Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane. In 2011 we also introduced our first ‘Charity of Choice’ – Special Olympics Australia with whom we have shared a wonderful relationship throughout 2011. Since 2010 the Steggles Roosters Charity Nest has raised $740,000 for Australian children’s charities.

In addition to fundraising efforts at the games, Steggles staff also conduct various fundraising initiatives to help raise further funds. But it’s not just all about the donations – some of the most heartfelt experiences have been taking the Roosters players to visit our charities and seeing the children’s faces light up as well as the excitement of school children after the players have visited some of our local community schools.

We are fortunate to be in a privileged position to be able to make a difference to the lives of children and their families.

In the 2012 season Steggles will continue to donate $1000 for every point the Roosters win by and $250 per point from the Sydney Roosters. The Sydney Roosters will also donate $1000 for every game won by the Toyota Cup side. The Steggles Sydney Roosters Charity Nest will include the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia, Lifestart and Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane.
